- CANNABUTTER EXTRAVAGANZA -

Hey 420magazine!

So this past weekend I decided that it was time to turn that frozen trim in my freezer, into something worthwhile… something I could use! I had two options... I could either melt it down into Cannabutter using my own devices, or give it to my friend who works for TCLabs and let him blast it into a concentrate... I decided to do both, because why not?! I gave my friend about 2 ounces of trim and popcorn buds I got from the Alien Dawg, so I should have that back within a week.

Then I turned the trim and popcorn I got from my Warlock and Berry Garcia into CannaButter... and wow am I impressed! :cheesygrinsmiley: :cheesygrinsmiley: :cheesygrinsmiley: Allow me to outline my process for anyone interested, I could not be happier with how it turned out, tastes exactly like edibles I buy from the dispensary!

CANNABUTTER

Ingredients:
-1 lbs. Unsalted Butter (I used Tillamook Sweet Cream Butter)
-1 oz. Shake/Popcorn
-1 cp. Water (regulates temperature / prevents butter from scorching)

These were my ratios:
-1 ½ oz. Berry Garcia Shake / 1 lbs. Butter / 1 cp. Water
-2 ½ oz. Warlock Shake / 1 ½ lbs. Butter / 1 ¼ cp. Water

The Process:
-Bring 1 cp. Water to low / medium-low heat in a large saucepan.
-Add 1 lbs. Butter and let melt, stir as needed.
-Slowly add 1 oz. of Shake/Popcorn to the mixture, WHILE the butter is melting.
-Once all ingredients are thoroughly mixed, cover saucepan and allow to simmer for 2-3 hours. DO NOT let the mixture come to a boil.
-Strain the mixture through Cheese Cloth into a glass pan, and once cool enough squeeze all remaining liquid out of the Cheese Cloth.
-Throw away remaining Cannabis, place pan in refrigerator and allow Butter to cool and set. The Butter will harden together on top of the water.
-Scoop out the brick of CannaButter, discard anything that isn’t solid.

The entire process was extremely simple, and I had a blast doing it. I love the finished product and I will definitely be using this method for the rest of my life. I will have to give Coconut Oil a try in the future, as it is a healthier alternative, and supposedly works great in this application.

I ended up with just under 1 lbs. of Berry Garcia Butter and just under 1 ½ lbs. of Warlock Butter.

Half of the Berry Garcia Butter went to my friend who just got out of the hospital, the other half went towards a delicious Lemon Tart, one of the better edibles I have ever tasted. The Lemon Custard works great with the Cannabis taste in the Graham Crust. The Tart was extremely potent, knocked my friends and I all on our asses for the night. Decided to cut the rest of my baked good with regular butter, to tone down the potency, especially since I used a lot of Shake in the Warlock butter.

I have about ½ lbs. of Warlock Butter left. I used ½ lbs. to make 24 German Chocolate Cupcakes with Coconut Pecan Icing, and then I used another ½ lbs. to make Lavender Blueberry Dark-Chocolate Muffins. Both turned out EXCEPTIONALLY well. They taste more like the ingredients than Cannabis, they go down easy and hit hard… Very pleasurable high all around, helps me sleep like a baby. I am going to take a smoke break to let my throat recover from this weird cough I have had for about 4 months, good thing I have so many yummy treats! :cheesygrinsmiley: :cheesygrinsmiley:

I will be posting pictures of my tasty treats when I get the chance to cut them in half and take good photos of them, if anyone wants the recipes I used feel free to ask! :cheesygrinsmiley: :cheesygrinsmiley: Thanks for following along everyone!
