 I'm out of ammo and it's expensive. Hope you got some rest. :)

Yes, I am interested in making it a soap..yet retain the scrub bar features of the exfoliate action with the hemp seeds and almonds.
This is where time gone by is my enemy, I cannot remember how I used to make the soaps lather during my soap making days. I haven't even looked on the net for the answers yet. Work ....work....work.

Whatever you got, I will take note for sure. :)

CCOiler: Just a thought.... I have made a massage lotion that stayed liquid enough that I believe it would do fine in a roll on. At room temp it is almost perfect consistency for that. I found a recipe on the net for it and gave it a shot.

We'll see what Magnus has for you on that too.

Coconut Oil: Makes soaps clean well and produces big, fluffy lather. Can't make a good soap with out it. But it is drying to the skin.
Olive Oil: Adds moisturizing qualities to the soap to counteract the Coconut Oil.
Palm Oil: Hardens the soap into a recognizable form (the bar of soap). Almost always used in combination with the above two oils.
Castor Oil: Yes, the same stuff our grandparents fed to our parents for good health. Adds tons and tons of softy gentle lather. The more of this you have in the soap the closer you soap comes to being a shampoo bar (many of which I've made in my time.)
Shea Butter: I like to use this for all the right reasons.

And there's your (my) basic soap recipe. I usually go with equal amounts of the first three ingredients and top up with theh other two. You can mix and match in different oils, but this is a lovely base to start out with. I won't give you the actual recipe (unless in a pm) because Ginette would kill me. She still thinks that, even though we no longer make soap, this is a proprietary recipe that we have to keep our own little secret. I'm less inclined to do so because I know we'll never make it big with soap. But it's an amazing base for starting up a soap recipe. HINT: Try keeping your Coconut Oil at 30 percent-ish. You can figure out the rest of your ingredients from there. And more Castor Oil is better than less, that I'll say, too.

Much love and care went into this recipe. It feels so strange to let it out there. Treat it with respect, Cannafan. It is given with great respect for you and much love. Gawd, I feel like crying now.

And go to this site to configure your recipe: https://soapcalc.com

And if you're at all interested in seeing some of the soaps I produced, check out my Facebook site, Soaps and Lather. I'd like to hear your (anyone's) thoughts on what I used to make...
