Good Day All
Im in the process of purchasing a new LED for a indoor grow - approx 3' x 4' area, and have been doing the web research and am going crazy looking at the info - trying to get to the truth.

Question - has anyone tryied the KIND LED grow light line?
I'm also looking at Grow Blu, Advanced LED (Diamond series), and Pro-Grow PG-X5 - 5 watt LED.

Any advice would be greatly apprecitated!!!!

I've been doing the same research myself mate & that's what brought me here. There is so much bulls**t in the LED industry that it's hard to find the truth.
I was originally of the opinion that the USA high priced units would be worth the money as the sales talk on their websites is very convincing. I am a very logical man though and not easily fooled. I decided to turn my research towards the much cheaper Chinese lights to see if I could find some comparisons in results. This search brought me here, I found a couple of members on here that had done LED grows with these cheap Chinese lights and the results were superb. Take a look for yourself by searching the forums and make your own mind up.
I am now of the opinion that you're wasting your money, spending a fortune on USA branded lights. I've seen the results by 420 member CO Finest, using topledgrowlights. These come at a fraction of the cost of the big brand USA models.
If you use common sense & logic and ignore the sales patter it is easy to see through it.
Your plant requires a blue spectrum to grow & a red spectrum to flower. The exact spectrum required for cannabis is easily achieved and is not rocket science. There is no magic formula.
Once you have the correct spectrum you need enough power & penetration to reach through the canopy. Almost all LED light units available today be it 3w or 5w need to be kept 2ft or more away from your plants to prevent burning. They therefore have the power to penetrate the canopy. They don't need 'top secret patented lens systems' or 'the most powerful diodes in the world'
That's my conclusion mate & I'll be buying Chinese lights

Any update since this was posted? I have a 135w UFO-style light from Blackstar I use to get seedlings ready for outdoor life, but haven't tried yet on a grow from seed to bud.

I was thinking about getting a K3 L300 when I pick up my next 2x2 finishing tent, but I am going to see what my current lights yield. I am finishing my first real indoor grow. The guys at my local shop swear by Kind and and the plants they grow under it are solid. If my current lights take names and kick ass I am going to stick with them. I am very happy to pay more to purchase American (though I drive a VW assembled in Mexico, because I always wanted a VW).
