Legumes, I seem to recall, are plants that incorporate nitrogen fixing bacteria into ryzomes in their root systems. Do other plants also incorporate bacterial/fungal synergistic organisms into their vascular systems? I haven't read anything to that effect yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happens. So much research, so little time.
