Yes, as expected the visit to the garden was gratifying as usual this early morning. At 5:00 AM The air, about 52 was cool and still. I opened the top to the spa and watched the steam clouds raise straight up and slowly dissipate about 20 feet over the spa. I take a very quick shower then ease myself into the spa's 102 degree water and after a minute I turned on the bubble jets. Like a reptile, I slowly came to life as I sipped my coffee. I do this frequently. It's a nice way to start the day.
Of course I take a bowl of my favorite herb too.,, Of course. That's what we do here and just to take a jab at it; I suspect I'm not alone.
My cat is looking out the door and is looking at the Catnip bush. I just might put on my flipflops and go out and water it and break off a sprig for her.
GOOD GRIEF This cat is spoiled!
I could strangle my daughter because when our newly acquired female kitty-cat was two years old it caught a flu like bug that almost killed her. Out of sympathy my 10 year old daughter fed her some Albacore Tuna while she was sick to encourage her to eat. Expensive Albacore Tuna! Well, it worked. The cat made a miraculous recovery, refuses to eat anything else now and runs the whole house. There is a message here somewhere for someone I guess but for us, we are glad to be a part of her ever increasing staff.
This weekend we are watching our daughter's dog. She, her husband and daughter are off to Lake Tahoe to do some last minute sloshing in the snow. As an added variable to the mix is the occasional visit by the cat from next door. Always an opportunist he come by in the morning so my wife will give to him the remnants of our cat's last meal. You know what that is of course don't you? You got it! She gives to the neighbor's cat the left over Albacore Tuna my cat no longer wanted to eat from the night before. Now the neighbor's cat is hooked also and refuses to eat the crappy normal cat food they serve over there at their place.
So now we have the two cats who don't like dogs, by the way, and a Boston Terrier who wants to play,(not really). The doors are open to give all a way to escape when things get exciting.
A word about the weird coincidences in life that are occurring all the time to the unaware. I speak of a show that is currently showing on TNN and Direct TV . Have you heard of the movie CATS & DOGS? It is a really cute movie to watch while experiencing the real life interaction of the animals in the house. I thought it was weird and worthy of mention.
(All of the animals have known each other a long time. There is no rough stuff happening and they do play well, for cats and dogs.)
