Wild Thailand sprouted overnight! :cheertwo:

For the last several seeds, I've been skipping all the interim steps and planting directly into a moist cup of Doc's soil. I dribble a little bit of water on the soil over the seed once a day when I check it, and so far only one failed to sprout. In the future, I'll probably soak them first - I think that helps them sprout earlier - but otherwise, it looks like I don't need to fool with peat starters. In fact, next time I'll plant the seed into a small wad of peat because it's more uniform than soil and will stay pressed against the seed better. But I'll plant that wad right into the cup with the soil. Has anyone done it that way?

I recommend just using the soil with the Root Zone. You want to colonize the roots with bene's from the get-go.

I soak them for 12-24 hours, depending on how old the seed is.

Moisten the soil, make a hole with a pen, chopstick or pencil about 1/2 inch deep....put in the seed, cover it and wait. Near perfect germination rates this way, never had any sort of problem.

Germinate under bright light and don't use a humidity dome! Humidity is for clones, not seeds. Too much humidity with seeds leads to males, and damping off.

72-74 degrees, 50-60% RH.....bright light.....that's how to do it!
