It’s been a while since I was on here…been in a process of transition so to speak. Also made a huge move from San Diego to Pennsylvania. California is on the eve of a historic change in the way Cannabis itself is viewed. I for one know in my heart that the vote will pass. And I hope that the rest of this country will take notice and follow suit. But my hopes have been dashed before.
I have been talking with quite a few people since coming to PA, and I swear it’s like talking to sack of hammers. Some of these poor dumb asses have been fed so much bullshit by the government for so long that it seems impossible to change their minds or to convince them that they have been lied to. I have tried to show them proof of what I stand behind so passionately, and it’s as if they can’t see the trees because of the forest in front of them.
This is a state where you can get serious jail time for a simple joint. Come on ! How stupid is that ? I have gone on the Megan’s Law website to check how many sex offenders are living close by my family…and I am shocked at how many there are. Rapists, serial killers, stalkers, child molesters…all this trash out there and the pursuit of the user of a simple little plant with medicinal and industrial benefits is what billions of dollars is wasted on ?! At this point in my life I would hope that I can no longer be shocked. But I am just that…shocked at the stupidity of the general public in regards to a medicine which has been shown to have hundreds and hundreds of medicinal applications. And I am shocked at how this government…elected by us, is still run by big money lobbyists and in spite of everything…in spite of all the PROOF, still lies to us with a straight face.
I will soon be traveling to Pittsburgh to hook up with NORML there. I have already been in contact letting them know how badly I want to get involved. Things have to change. Ignorance has to end. Lies have to be shown to be what they are. This is the beginning of what I can only assume will be a long fight.
