Getting Rid of Spider Mites by Tennessee Tim

:rollit:Spider mites are a plague for growers under Hot lights and for many ornamental plants in my part of the world in general. Many plants never thrive long here due to spider mites. Well balanced Organic methods do seem to help make plants less susceptible to insects and disease, and more tolerant and faster recovering! :passitleft:Try rosemary infusion (crushed and soaked stuffed into a jar in the hot sun a few days or use oil if you have it) pressed and strained and with a little soap and lecithin added, on a trial basis for a homemade remedy, applied after washing the plants down with a fine but strong mist (both sides of leaves from top to bottom)and allowing to dry first. Repeating this may be needed. It will not get rid of all of them, but it sure slows them down a lot and can get you a harvest from the lighter infested plants! I have given up before and trashed budding plants that were dying and covered up with mites, but this was years ago growing in a hot room under HPS lights. Imported Lady bugs (first imported to Georgia to control aphids on pecan trees)now live year round in the walls of my buildings and when they are attracted to the grow lights they find my plants and keep them clean of anything, I suspect, since I no longer have spider mite problems ever show up inside my grows! I would wash the plants anyway (especially if you spray anything on them), since I don't want to smoke bugs/dust or anything but pure organic bud!:goodluck:
