My name is Jerry Gaule from Albany Oregon. I wanted to introduce myself. I am a retired radio broadcaster/Radio Engineer-35 years.
I have a family and been married 20 years, I retired due to my disability and stress in the corporated world and my wife is Disabled(RA,Diabetic Nurothapy and other illness)her and I use Medical Marijuana and it is helping us than any other prescribed medication. I suffer from depression,lack of muscle use(atrophy)over a period of time and chronic nausea.
I am also a amateur radio operator-KE7GGV(A/E)as a hobby. I wanted to clean my plate off and do radio as a hobby. My studio and such is in our home. I do voice tracks for stations,non-profits for free it keeps me busy.
I had bariatric surgery last year and had complications.
I spent 5 months away from home and when I had complications I would go back to the hospital and recover at a nursing facillity. It was called Regency and I had OT/PT done there and tube feeding.
As a thank you I promised them I will build them a legal part-15 AM 100 milliwatt FCC approved Microbroadcaster. I will donate radio equipment at no cost,engineer it,program it and train the staff and help construct it(I did that for LPFM and non-profit stations for free)and I made similar offers to others,I love to help doing that.
When I was there I also offered for the residents or whom ever make cd's of Old Time Radio and Nostalgic Music. I have several thousands of music from 1898-1950 and several thousands of Old Time Radio from 1929-1950/and The Cbs Radio Mystery Theatre(1299 episodes)from 1974-82.
I decided to start a free radio service called The Syncopated Radio Network from Home. I provide Old Time Radio and the music above like I mentioned and share my passion. I also serve the disabled,the visually-impaired and the elderly with timely public service programming,radio psa's,podcasts and promote pro-marijuana programming and show the positive side of Medical Marijuana for pain and such.
I provide the issues of it and how it works well,run Norml ads,norml programming and news,information,education and entertainment for the above audience. I also broadcast programming from similar outlets and The Drug Truth Network shows and letting The Willamette Valley NORML know about SRN.
I have shows from ACB,NFB,The World Radio Network and asked PRI,Pacifica Radio,IAAIS for programming for the visually-impaired,the disabled and I am willing to be a radio affilliate and show my stand for mm and the use and more.
I am not a 503c or non-profit because I want to make it less stressful and fear of losing my SSI/SSA benefits. I self support it after we pay the bills. Again this not a Radio Reading Service just a alternative outlet for public service.
I am available on the net and locally on my small AM here in the park for residents that do not have web access.
I will add the 420 site to my SRN page..I know Old Time Radio/Nostalgia and public information from Norml is different but it works.
I am open for ideas and I am looking for other org's for programming,news updates,podcasts and such to put on SRN,even web link suggestions are welcome and I am open minded you can e mail me subject:SRN info..
