i am only 4 days into my grow. have 8 plants in my closet. im using african violet potting soil plus, havent gotten nutrients yet, think im gonna go with iguana juice, hearing good things. i got tthis soil becuase it said organic, i was unaware that african violet was a flower that this soil was specified for. i know, im a dumbass have your laugh. now that thats over, it says that it feeds up to 9 months. the npk says .12-.09-.07 have no idea if this is good or not. figured since the n was highest and p was lowest, figured itd be okay. i am now realizing there is a lottt more to growing marijuana than originally thought. however, this does not deter me from my desire to grow, so i will continue researching and learning, which is why i created this account. figured id ask my questions rather than trying to read through a million threads. the information id like to obtain in a broad listing would be:
watering - ive read a lot and im thinking im going to have to just watch my plants and base my schedule and amount on the looks of the plant and looks/feel of the soil (tips still desired)
nutrients - again, i wanna go with iguana juice, but id have no idea how much to use and to apply every other feeding or what.
lighting - pretty sure im OK here but im using heat lamp clamps or w.e during vegetative im using one cfl per clamp per plant. each cfl is equivalent to 100watts, 1600 lumens, 5000k. this good or no?
for flowering i have of course the same setup, but each cfl is equivalent to 60watts, 900 lumens, 2700k. good or no?
circulation - at this moment in time i have 3 plants, but ill have 5 more planted in a few short days but im going to run them on the same schedule, because theyd only be planted exactly 1 week after the last. for now ive been opening the door and fanning it for a few seconds to stir the air up a bit. ive heard just opening the door would suffice but i wanted to over-do-it a tad bit. all the while, a small fan is on medium setting blowing near but not directly on the plants. figured this would provide circulation, though its lacking FRESH circulation. im awaiting on 2 5in x 5in ac fans. plan on cutting out the door in 2 places, one at the bottom and one on top. plan to bring in fresh air from the bottom and suck it out from the top. im hoping this idea was and is a good one. (keep in mind, the door will be opened multiple times a day even after the fans are installed, i love being around my plants)
thanks to you for taking the time and i really appreciate any advise thatd be helpful.
ive recently decided to go to 42 watt 6500k cfls for veg. not sure what i should use for flowering tho, please help.
