Okay. This is my first grow, so I am keeping it simple using the smallest amount of money. I got a bag seed, so I germinated it using the wet towel method. I then planted it in a 300ml pot, the medium mix was taken from pots around my house which looked like a mix of top soil? + perlitte. I then planted it in a bigger pot - 8 inch wide x 6/7 inches high - medium was soil that has been sieved from my back garden, quite dry, sandy feeling. The plant out grew this pot in a couple weeks so I have now put it into a bucket that you get from B&Q, I've painted it white so that the pot doesn't get too hot and cook the roots.

I apollogsie about the orientation of the photo, but because it's taken at an angle which ever way I rotate it won't be upright.
