Wow...lots of pics...is there a limit.?
I prolly should have just video'd it but not sure i could have cuz once ya get going at it....you need all three hands ,if ya know what i mean.
OK ,then Gang....first a few things....i'm no teacher, and i can't spell worth crap ....so have mercy,K. This will take me a while...i've got an hour...GF's. comin over at 6:30 , so....
The nice thing about bubblehash is , for people like us weed snobs ,we can really appreciate it for what it is. Good quality BH ,if you look at it under a scope will appear to be alot of tiny bubbles all stuck together, not unlike a bubblebath looks. There should be very little to no contaminants in it...hence "full melt". When this stuff from today dries out ,over two days or so,that's all it takes. It doesn't break up like the stuff we were used to back in the day . When you apply just a little bit of heat to nice bubble...it goes all soft and it actually starts to turn into a liquid.
When it comes off the bags it appears to be a little greennish....that's only chloraphil that will evap. off over the first 6 hrs or so.This stuff is already looking a honey brown colour. I'l try and talk a little for each pic....there's so many and i'm bagged! Here goes Gang.
These bags are bubbleman's...Mark's first 8 bag,5 gal. set. They have between 200 and 300 cycles thru them...lost count after about 180 or so. Notice i only use 5 of the 8. I just don't need that many "grades" of hash. That's why on the cardboard the numbers are 160/120....90/73....and 45/25. I don't bother with the160,90,or 45 micron bags. All they're heads will just get cought in the next smaller size....so i only have 3 grades to keep separate. Less work too.The lil mini washer came out before bubbleman's machine's that's why it's called the Sweet Bubblelator and the bubbleman's is called...the Bubblenow....get it?
Wonder what went on there eh>>> anyhow the thing has worked great from the start. Before the machine i used a cut off broom handle and just mixed by hand right in the pot.
The one pot,the green one
Is lined ,starting with the smallest size bag, the 25.The next ones are in this order...73,120,190,220. The little pc. of 25,the purple one is for draining the water from the chunks when they come right out off the bags.It sits on some paper towels or something to absorb the excess water quick. After it sits there a few minutes the separate grades are put on cardboard and cut up into little pcs. to help it dry .
These show how i layer ice and produce in the inner bag...the one that goes into the washer.8 bags of ice went into this session today...it's a must to have more than enough ice. If you don't ...it just won't work. The way it works and what happens is this....the gland heads on the stalked (mostly) trichomes are the heaviest thing in the mix ,and they don't float. The heads are very stiff when cold and are able to be broken off the stalk...they then sink ....down thru the different sized screens on the bottom of each bag. That's why you have to be carefull to do this properly...there is no room for error . After each bag is cleaned of it's goodness, it's also very important to rince and clean (inside out) right away under very cold water....only cold. If anyone has ever made the mistake of using warm water for this ....they know what happens to the resin.NOT GOOD Always think cold ,always, when working with ice/water hash.Heat is trouble, period. I should prolly add that if you have a friend ...get him or her to help ,cuz it makes it ALOT easier. This washer has a timer that goes up to a max. of 15 min's. I only mix for 3/4 min's. I get way better quality that way every time. It's also important to have enough water in the machine to let it actually work like one too,not just all ice.
As the bags are pulled ,if they are a collection bag , i drain them and put them inside a smaller pot and stretch the bottom up so it's like a drum skin...then the resin is scooped up with a spoon while holding the tension tight....makes it easy to scoop with a normal tea spoon.Put the resin on the pc. of 25 and it drains a bit then gets moved to the cardboard to get cut up and further dried out for two days. Tomorrow i'l be able to puff this in my lil twin bubblelater , water pipe.
After this dries i can pick up a pc. and in no time it gets gooey. It really is fantastic stuff. Pure and clean...no solvents. no heat , no EXPLOSIONS ,just pure joy....What did i miss??...prolly lots but gotta go get cleaned up now. I really hope ya all liked my very first teaching session. If anyone has questions fire away and i'l get back by the mornin. Cheers Gang.......Duggs.
