Would those gallon ziplock bags work, I have those, no airtight jars? Rico, do you cure in normal room temp, freezer, refrigerator?
The slower the cure the better. Ideal temps should be between 70-75. The freezer and refrigerator will not be of good use for curing--long term storage maybe, but I wouldnt use em. A cool dark area works best. Proper curing allows you to release the moister from your harvest slowly, the freezer would fry your stash. Temps above 75 can dry things too fast and temps below 65ish can slow things down to the point where mold, rot and other stuff we dont like become an issue.
This dude is another 420 hero of mine. Check out his DIY dry box.

Since I'm a small time guy I go against convention when it comes to my drying process. Because I dont have dozens of plants to deal w/ I can afford to baby what I do have. I chop em with all the leaves on and then hang em for about 2-3 days. Then before the large and med fan leaves get too dry/brittle I trim them off either by hand or w/ scissors and then let them hang for another few days leaving the smallest nug leaf on. Then I do my final trim and into the jars they go. Currently, I'm going on 3-4 weeks since my chop and the stems are barely starting to snap--that's wonderful. The weather has been obnoxiously cooperative lately.
Everything your doing is looking great bro, I can hardly believe the amount of traffic you stir up. It's hard for the average civilian to keep up!
