Give them time. You have enough seeds to try again. I've done that with a seedling, and it never feels good. The problem starts with burying them just a little more shallow than they needed, which meant they didn't have to fight their way up out of the dirt. It's this fight to get to the surface that rubs that casing off.

When this happens I do a special type of surgery, using two toothpicks and some water. Begin by dripping a couple drops of water onto the seedling and let it sit for a couple minutes to hydrate the casing a bit more. Then I begin the delicate coaxing the casing off the colydons. Using toothpicks keeps the fingers from snapping the heads off.

Not to worry. We'll see to it that you get there. We've all been frustrated with germination. It's important to avoid second guessing yourself and starting to question your ability to germinate. This is merely a glitch. Try again.
