This past Summer I did a Grow Journal. In the Grow Journal I show how I Clone. When I did so, I received alot of comments saying, "You cant do that", " I didnt thing you could do it like that ", and " The books say not to do that'. Well apparently the Know it alls and the books are wrong. Cause I have been doing it like this for many many Moons. I am assuming the reason the consensus is you cant clone the very top of the plant, for some reason. I personally think its some Bull Shit story so the Clubs can sell you those ridiculously tiny clones that most of the time either Stunt or dont make it at all. So any way, right before my crop was about to start flowering, I took a shit lode of clones, for mothers to grow over the winter. There was a contamination problem so I lost all but 14 of the clones. 12/1/14 Monday am I took the very best and biggest tops of the plants for Clones. Here are those 14 after topping.
Off topic - All of the Super Lemon Haze clones I took died, so I had no SLH at all. I took one of the smaller SLH budding plants and tryed to Re Veg it as not to lose the strain. I have never Re Veged any thing before. It looks wierd but its working and I dont have to start from scratch again.
Now today I went and checked the clones to make sure they wernt to dry and low and behold 6 clones 5-Sour Diesel and 1-Pure Kush were fully rooted.
So I took them out of the Produce bags and let them sit under the misters while I prepaired the Qt storage bags for transplanting.I grow in plastic bags until there ready for there final resting places. All you have to do is cut the bottom out of the bags, grab the sides at the top and gently place where you want it and lift the bag off. Transplanting with no stress, no shock, and no stunt. Works awsum. So if any one tells you, you cant clone the very best part of your plants - There full of Shit. You know the last time I got those little tiny clones they have at the clubs, I ended up having to Clone the clones because they stunted and wernt growing. So I cloned the clones, rooted them, and those plants are the same Pure Kush that make up the bulk of this years crop.
