Coming to you from the heart of the balkans. My first grow ever.
Getting in to the 5th week of veg. day 28
I'm taking care of 3 girls, 2 autos and one fem.
Got em from Royal Queen Seeds on dec.22.2016.
Put them in a wet paper towel to germinate on the 23rd.
They sprouted the nxt day after which ive put them in a biodegradable seed tray to strengthen a bit.
As soon as the first true leaves showed on the 27th ive decided to transplant them in to a 8L(2.1gal) smartpot. For the 2 autos it will be the final transplant and for the fem. i got a 5gal smart pot waiting to get more soil before the second transplant. The pictures of the seedlings are from the 28th.
They grow under a 600Watt Philips Master GreenPower HPS bulb in a 66x100x225cm/26"x39"x88" room. I dont have a cool tube, exhaust fan or a carbon filter so the heat and smell started to be an issue which, for now, got solved by building a "tent" around the door of the room allowing me to keep the door open and making it a bit harder for the air to get too hot. It works pretty good for now since the "tent" is connected to a window which makes it possible to manually vent out the room once in a while for some air exchange.
The soil i use is TerraMagma Blumenerde/for flowers. Even tho the substrate already got everything needed for plants to grow I mixed it with a bit of GuanKalong bat guano powder/ 1-10-1 / and let it sit for a week before i used it to plant the seedlings. For veg I'm using Kalong grow liquid /6-3(n-k)/ and will start using the guano powder as a top dressing in couple of weeks once the flower stretch stops or slows down. The amount of veg nutrients I feed them is based on the response the leaves give me(made couple small mistakes which thought me that).
As far as water goes, It took me 3 weeks to get a feel for watering. Started out with distilled water but after i realized that i dont have any other needed minerals to add myself switched to tap water leaving it to sit over night to warm up and hopefully evaporate some of the chlorine if possible at all. Watering every day when the lights come on giving them 1 liter of ph-ed water with or without nutrients. I keep the PH in check with a pen and if needed adjust the PH-up with lime or vinegar or PH-down with baking soda.
