You can potentiate the pain cream with the addition of essential oils. Dave Groomer has the most experience with the creams. I'd make contact with him, or ask in the topicals study hall. He'll answer there too. I know they'd appreciate your info on using jojoba oil. I like the sound of it, but not the price. As you say, a little goes a long way. Think I'll look into it myself. :battingeyelashes:

There's a saturation point to the oils, but no one has tested to find out what that is yet, so here we are playing lab rat with extra stock. The original recipe was using only 2 grams of cannabis buds to about a half cup of oil, and it was healing burn scars and diabetic ulcers. I think you may have passed the saturation point Weaselcracker. :laughtwo:

The real secret in the effectiveness of the pain cream is in the ratios of THC to THCa with that tiny amount of CBD to potentiate the THC.

I do not use my MB2 for my grape seed oil I use for cream. I find that my infused oil is "cleaner" by just doing it all in the oven. It is also SOOOOOO much easier to strain!!!!

I take 1g / oz of oil (bod) or 3g / oz trim. I start by putting it in an oven roasting bag in the oven at 230F for 110 minutes. When I take the bag out, before opening it, I crush everything up inside the bag as small as possible. Add to oil and put back in oven at 200f for at least 4 hours. I do it mostly at night and set a timer to get up. Sometimes I just let it cook for as long as 8 hours. For topical oil it is fine. If you are making for edibles, I don't like to go over 4 hours or so. Long cooking times can sometimes effect the taste of the oil.

After it is done cooking, I strain it twice. Once in a mesh colander then in my MB2 strainer bag. It takes all the sediment out. For topical, the sediment can be a little irritating So I like to get it all out.

For thickening, I use a cosmetic grade soy wax. I will add 100g of wax to a cup of oil. Put it all in a microwave safe container for about 1 1/2 minutes. Wax will melt into oil. Add you favorite essential oil (We like lavender) and put into jars.

1g per oz is the strongest I have made. I am sure you could go with more, but like everything else we do around here, it is a trial and error thing. I may make my next batch stronger now that I have a little better supply. :circle-of-love::peace:
