That being said it wouldnt suprise me if someone popped a seed that turned out to be photo. The genetics are all over the place with this strain, and to be perfectly honest given that they were pretty much advertised as such and were free I cant complain.
I'll finish out what I have growing but probably wont plant anymore unless it's outdoors in public as the seeds were intended to be used as a part of overgrow Canada. I'll order up some new CBD friendly seeds asap. Critical cure and Painkiller XL are high on my list.
You know I recommend Barney's Farm CBD Critical Cure. Here's a blurb from the Herb Co's article last December postulating that this may be the perfect CBD strain that made me smile.
"CBD Critical Cure is a high-CBD strain that recreational and medical consumers can both enjoy. While slightly sedative, this strain provides little to no psychoactive effect. Rather, consumers are overtaken by a rapid, positive mood uplift and a calm and relaxed physiology. This is the perfect strain for just about anyone looking for a cannabis experience that is not overpowering.
Obviously they never had the inspiration to turn their specimen into fresh harvest oil. It amazes me that the same strain smoked isn't as potent a euphoric machine as when processed into this fabulous oil. Something significant and unexpected happened with the conversion that made it more synergistic. Intriguing.
"The CBD Critical Cure experience
The CBD Critical Cure experience is very different from what you’d expect from traditional, high-THC cannabis. However, some classic effects shine through. Though CBD outnumbers THC nearly 2 to one in this strain, the indica heritage in this strain can be felt around the eyes and in the body.
You are unlikely to find yourself with heavy lids after this strain, but it can inspire a very slight sedation with a gentle and pleasant pressure around the eyes and sinus region. Otherwise, very alert and focused effects shine through.
Like many high-CBD strains, the effects of Critical Cure can be powerfully uplifting. The anti-depressant effects of CBD are rapid, which is why this strain can turn your mood around in a matter of minutes.
It provides a calm, happy, and satisfying sense of wellbeing without distorting reality or becoming uncomfortable."
Again, turning it into fresh harvest oil changes this experience, at least for me, in a dramatic way. I get none of the heaviness they speak of speak of and it's definitely creating a distortion of reality.
"Why do people use CBD Critical Cure?
This light and mellow strain has a variety of uses. For recreational consumers, this strain is excellent for daytime use or whenever you just need to take the edge off a little.
This strain is technically an indica, but the incredibly low THC levels mean that you won’t experience the heavy sedation that typically accompanies indica strains.
So, grab this before work or before a nerve-wracking public speaking event.
Medical consumers pick up this strain for a wide variety of reasons. However, this strain is perhaps most commonly used for those seeking relief from mental health conditions.
Depression and anxiety seem to melt away after just a few tastes of this easygoing herb. Many with post-traumatic stress disorder and other stress-related conditions tend to respond well to the relaxing and anxiolytic nature of CBD.
Patients with many physical ailments appreciate this strain as well. The mixture of both THC and CBD in this strain makes it an excellent choice for pain management and relief from inflammatory conditions like arthritis and gastrointestinal disorders.
The slight sedation this strain provides may also be helpful for insomniacs."
All of this has proven to be true with my patients and myself. As a fresh harvest oil all three of my patients find it an excellent med to take before bed. I run faster than any of them and I find that I reach a point when my body says "stop" and I have to go to bed. This has been happening earlier than I normally turn in by a couple hours. I still have my occasional all-nighters, like last night when I didn't force myself away from the iPad until after 4 AM, but for the most part I've been falling asleep closer to midnight than 4 and sleeping soundly. Both of my newest patients have commented on how much they appreciate the sleep enhancement.
I highly recommend this strain. I agree that it may be a perfect high CBD strain. All-round satisfaction.
So the Freedom's Dream strain was designed to cover Canada with a genetically improved hemp variety? What a brilliant thought that will result in making it impossible to remove, if the dream comes to fruition. A bold stroke of civil disobedience in its own way, eh?
