When we cool down the gums with water, we already do it. It is still one of my personal weak points, so thought I'll mention. I blamed paper towels but perhaps the problem was in slimy saliva.
She also advised to push small paper rolls onto the gum pockets of upper teeth nr6 on both side during dosing, as there are two big saliva glands. Small saliva glands are in many other places still though.
Another good tip is just to hold your head back 20 min after the tack, saliva runs to throat.
