Smoking marijuana is good for your brain - a new medical study recently completed in the UK indicates that marijuana appears to improve cognitive functioning rather than impair it.
Researchers studied 8992 men who used marijuana and tested them to meassure the level of brain fuctio.n. The men who used marijuana did just as well or slightly better than the men who did not. The different between the two was small and researchers say that it could be due to the group of drug users being better educated than the non-drug users.
"A positive association was observed between ever (past or current) illicit drug use and cognitive functioning," the study's authors concluded in the American Journal of Epidemiology.
