Well lets see,I started on 4/9 according to the oldest plant (which is up in smoke),outdoors.Which was stupid so early. It was sunny, then rainy, then sunny, then rainy and 4 of them started flowering before they were 2 feet, one was less then 8 inches. Then where I had them was WAY to much work to water, move, basic care, and after a few weeks I saw how easily they could be seen from a road and by my neighbors(not really a problem) but not secure. So I bought the light,169$,figured out a spot in my room.then.lost my 400 watt system on 6/17 (for repair, even though the HPS worked fine,I wanted to veg with Metal Halide) so that screwed me up.Then a borrowed system burned my plants,I corrected that and the light shorts out and blows the bulb,so I'm not using it.After a bunch of bs and buying a few CFL lights,30$,and a 150 watt HPS,70$,,I'm doing what I can.I know when I get back that light this can take off again.
Its been 3 months and I learned a lot. Before I bought the first plant I learned about dirt First thing I bought was dirt and 3 gallon pots. 21$ in dirt and 15$ for pots. Then I got my first 2 plants. And I was most intimidated by cloning. So I read and read and then got the needed products(Root Gel and Growing medium) 25$ for both. And now I have no worries I will be able to clone whenever I want to.I learned about plant size to pot size, (don't want rootbound plants trying to flower)
I learned a lot about light before I bought the HPS/MH switchable, then even more about CFL when I had to supplement everything.
I have my own "trim fan leaves or don't trim" experiment and my answer is DON'T trim.
Learning how to sopt plant problems and how to correct them.Already have seen heat stress and over-watering and bug issues. And Nutrient burn.
All in all, in 90 days I am confident I can grow non-stop in various stages and eventually have production. It's all for me,but I smoke a lot.
My next goal is to learn how to correctly apply nutrients for bigger buds and bigger yields.
And to grow from quality seeds.
So,this blog is for me and the grow journals are to share, but this is were I am going to write bs for my own reference.
I can't believe I haven't been doing this my whole life. But at least this way I am 100% legal in my state and county.
