Stupid Stoner

FORT WALTON BEACH - The bank alarm went off, and the cleaning crew got busted.

A 19-year-old worker was outside smoking marijuana at the time.

Deputies responding to the Compass Bank alarm on Eglin Parkway found a vehicle sitting near the ATM at the front entrance with its engine running and a door standing open. Suspicious, a deputy drew his weapon and ordered the man next to it to get on the ground.

He dropped his cigar, which smelled of burned marijuana, the deputy said.

As lawmen finished the bank alarm investigation, they identified the man as a member of the bank's cleaning crew. He was charged with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.
