Hello. I'm a new (first time) grower. I am growing 2 Jock Horror autos. I am growing in fox farms ocean forest medium and fox farms nutes. My girls popped 44 days ago. They showed sex at 21 days and so they have been flowering for about 23 days. They are 21 3/4 inches and 25 3/4 inches tall. They have lots and lots of bud sites. I used 8-6500k cfls until they showed sex and then I changed half of the cfls to 2700k and turned on my 125watt hps light. I have been on a light schedule of 24/0. I have read that you should not change the light cycle on autos but I think that my girls need some dark time (at least a few hours). Does anyone have any info? I would greatly appreciate any help that I can get. Thanks, GanjaD

lol I guess I had too much meds. lol. My hps is 150 watts. Is it true that you shouldn't change the light cycle? Basically the help I need is I planned on going to a 20/4 after they started flowering. Now I'm being told that you have to keep them at the same lighting schedule throughout the whole grow. I have read that 18/6 or 20/4 all the way through is the best, however I've already started mine on 24/0. They look GREAT, healthy and bushy. Some buds are starting to form. They even look happy. I'm from the old school and figured that they need a little darkness. Is this true? I plan on starting a journal (sorry no pics yet). Please, if anyone has experience in this, let me know. I would greatly appreciate any info. Thanks, GanjaD

Plants REQUIRE darkness to flower. 12/12 is magic for flowering plants. NEVER use HPS unless you are flowering. Plants will photosynthesize under light (meanign they create energy for growth). Darkness allows for them to use that energy. The 12/12 light cycle triggers them for flowering, thus allowing them to use the energies they have created for things like sexual organs, buds, etc. (12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)(12/12)

I need help too. I am new to this site and don't even know where to type in my question. I am growing 15 plants, half of which will be males and destroyed. I am growing them in those red cups, and need to transplant immediatly. I'm groing in soil, with cfs, my question is, if my current light cycle is 4 PM to 10 AM, and I want to start the frowering stage, can I go to 8 PM to 8 AM after transplant? And any other advice would be apriciated. TY. Sorry about spelling.
