When the boxes arrived I immediately started the set up of the Ecosphere 3.0. The only things needed were a small rubber mallet to assist in getting the shelf units attached securely in place, and a pair of scissors for attaching the filter disks. It was very easy, and I had it set up within an hour or so. I was impressed with everything included with the instructions, and how well it went together. It is solidly constructed with lots of room on and between the shelves. The zippers are smooth operating and well sewn, and it also includes a nice liner under the whole greenhouse to keep any moisture or liquids from getting on the floors.
There are detailed pictorial instruction guides included with links to an information packed website blog. It contains knowledgeable posts with valuable tips that are a great help along the journey. The photos below include some of the sold separately supplies I received inside.
There is a convection climate control unit and a 24 hour programmable timer included which has a digital temperature controller/thermostat that I can set to specific temperatures for the needs of specific mushrooms. This assures me that the greenhouse is warm enough inside for maximum growing atmosphere.
Some homes will need extra humidity, especially during the cold months when furnaces are running causing dry air. The Monsoon Humidifier that comes with the kit solves that problem. The humidifier also has a controller and 24 hour programmable timer included to adjust the amount of humidity given, and a sensor inside to monitor and keep settings.
The COB lighting strip that comes with the Ecosphere 3.0 will give sufficient light inside for those mushrooms to dance. I can adjust the strip around the greenhouse however I like.
My mushroom growing and cultivation using the Ecosphere 3.0 has been going on for many months, and it has held up great. I am in and out of it adjusting things, checking mushroom growth stages and harvesting what’s ready on a regular basis. I couldn’t be happier with the performance and ease of use.
