The B and B Medical Marijuana Evaluation Center has announced the repeat of a program for disabled veterans that began last Labor Day weekend to make them eligible, if they meet the Rhode Island state criteria, for the license that qualifies them for the Rhode Island medical marijuana program. Those eligible veterans also may, upon verification, have the usual program fee waived. Founded in 2012, B and B Consulting’s mission is to provide caring, quality assistance to those seeking a medical marijuana license in Rhode Island.

The R.I. Department of Health has certified B and B Consulting as a fully licensed facility in Rhode Island to provide this program with its qualified patient advocates who can guide you through the process. They also have physicians and compassionate medical personnel who specialize in cannabis medicine.

The program will be offered in the Pawtucket B and B Center’s office at 126 Prospect St., Suite 104, on Monday, May 21, from 1 to 4 p.m., and on Wednesday, May 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fee waiver is in addition to the discount available all year for approved clients making medical marijuana purchases.

Last Veterans Day, B and B Consulting ran a successful program in certifying and re-certifying veterans’ eligibility for the medical marijuana program. Those wishing to become involved this year must reserve appointments due to anticipated heavy demand and longer wait times. All laws and conditions regarding the qualification are followed.

Only patients who are legal Rhode Island residents and have been diagnosed with one or more of the qualifying conditions are eligible to receive medical cannabis in Rhode Island. Some of the debilitating medical conditions include cancer, glaucoma, HIV, AIDS, hepatitis C and PTSD or the treatment of these conditions. Certain other chronic or debilitating diseases or the treatment for same are also eligible. For the full list, go online to https://bit.ly/2FgQ3XP.
