The Kalamazoo City Clerk is setting a date to begin accepting applications for medical marijuana facilities.
The window to apply will open on June 7th and close three weeks later on June 28th.
The new city ordinance will permit all five types of facilities, growers, processors, transporters, testing and provisioning centers, but the city’s ordinance is highly restrictive and zoning restrictions will make it expensive to set up shop in the city.
Securing city permits is only part of it. They must also be licensed by the state which is a separate process.
