There are plenty of reasons to use products infused with cannabidiol (CBD): It can reduce inflammation and even help ease anxiety and fight insomnia. But Mandy Moore might’ve found the most functional use for the marijuana plant-derived compound: It might make sky-high heels a lot more comfortable.

The actress is constantly hitting up red carpets and events in support of This Is Us, but the whole wearing-heels-for-hours thing wasn’t working in her favor.

“I always try to choose really comfortable shoes, because as I’ve gotten older, I just can’t hack being in heels for an extended period of time,” Moore told Coveteur. “Last year I thought I had gone for a pair of comfortable heels, but by the end of the night I was in so much pain I felt like I was walking on glass, so I kind of ended the evening early…. Although honestly, I’ll find any excuse for an early night.”

But thanks to a life-changing (or at least shoe-game-changing) tip from her stylist, Erica Cloud, extreme foot pain from heels could now a thing of Moore’s past.

“This year I’m trying some CBD oil on my feet, which my stylist recommended,” Moore said. “I asked her if there was some kind of numbing cream, and she was like, ‘No! Try Lord Jones CBD Oil.’ So it could be a really exciting evening! I could be floating this year.”

The next time you rock a pair of heels, give the stuff—which Olivia Wilde is also into for its relaxing benefits—a try. And beyond easing shoe-related woes, the product, which contains 2mg of CBD per pump, also claims to quickly absorb to help with sore muscles and joint pain.
