Yolo County will be conducting community outreach meetings to receive public input on the draft Cannabis Land Use Ordinance for cannabis activities in the county over the next few weeks.
The Winters meeting is planned for Tuesday, June 12, at 6 p.m. in the conference room at City Hall.
Other meetings include the Yolo County Planning Commission meeting, which will take place at the County Administration Building, 625 Court Street, Suite 206, in Woodland, on Monday, June 14, at 8:30 a.m., and in Esparto on Saturday, June 19, at 7 p.m. at the Esparto Regional Library, 17065 Yolo Avenue, in Esparto.
Yolo County allows licensed indoor and outdoor cultivation of medical marijuana in the unincorporated areas of the county in compliance with the county’s Interim Medical Marijuana Cultivation Ordinance. However, the draft Cannabis Land Use Ordinance will require a discretionary Use Permit be obtained for cannabis activities; the process for which would include noticing of neighbors and a public hearing prior to approval of the permit. The ordinance will also establish approved zoning for licensed marijuana activities.
