Former NFL running back Ricky Williams is throwing a Super Bowl party in the Hollywood Hills that will include “booze, celebrities, vegan food, a massage therapist” and “an unlimited supply” of marijuana, he told TMZ Sports.

Williams said he would be providing the marijuana for the party. Recreational marijuana is legal in the state of California.

“I’ve invited my friends,” Williams told TMZ. “Some of my friends can’t acknowledge and advertise that they’re coming because they’re professional athletes, but yeah, I’ll have friends there.”

“The thing about sports and coming together with people, you should have a way to enjoy yourself, to relax and have a good time,” he added. “So I want to offer this to people who are Ricky Williams fans, who are football fans, and I’m looking forward to it.”

Williams, 40, spent 11 seasons in the NFL, rushing for 10,009 yards and 66 touchdowns. He also caught 342 passes for 2,606 yards and another eight scores. He was a 2002 Pro Bowler and a first-team All-Pro selection that same season, rushing for 1,853 yards and 16 scores.

Williams retired for one season in 2004 before returning to the NFL the following season. He failed four drug tests and served multiple suspensions in his career, which included missing four games in 2005 and the entire 2006 season.

He’s also been a proponent for allowing NFL players to use marijuana for medical purposes—as opposed to prescription painkillers—and for the league to alter its drug policy to better address addiction issues.
