Residents will decide April 13 whether to impose a temporary moratorium on marijuana establishments in town.
A special town meeting for this purpose is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Town Hall. If the town votes with a required two-thirds majority to impose the moratorium, it would be in effect through Dec. 31.
During that time, the town would undergo a planning process to address effects that marijuana establishments might have on the town.
The vote will not affect the pending special permit application for the proposed marijuana grow space, kitchen and testing lab presented by Oasis Campus LLC this month.
The Select Board hearing on that project began March 12, lasted about 2 1/2 half hours and was continued to April 25.
