Holyoke Gardens LLC is the name of a company that wants to run a recreational marijuana cultivation business at 5 Appleton St. in a proposal the City Council Tuesday referred to committee.

The proposal is the latest in a flow of pot-related proprietors. They include the $8 million GTI Massachusetts NP Corp. medical marijuana facility that opened in April at 28 Appleton St. and a plan by a company called Canna Provisions Inc. to open a recreational marijuana dispensary with home delivery at 380R Dwight St.

Holyoke Gardens consists of owners Justin P. Goldberg of Easthampton, Irene Masse of Greenfield and Michael Lees of Belchertown, according to the group’s application for a special permit.

The business would be for “cultivation, processing of cultivated marijuana, processing of cultivation scrap, extraction of oils from marijuana, sales and marketing activities and shipment of products,” according to the application.

The property at 5 Appleton St. is near Water Street in The Flats neighborhood.

The Council at City Hall referred the Holyoke Gardens proposal to its Ordinance Committee without discussion.
