Strain Name: Blue Cheese
From: River Valley Collective
When: Feb 2011
Grade: A-
Type: Indica
Price: $95/qtr. oz
Looks: Medium green with blue hues and a nice heavy coating of trichs
Smell: Like a sweet fresh green salad topped with cheese
Taste: Sweet and smooth with a funky overtone to the exhale
Buzz Type: Staged floaty cerebral buzz followed by a relaxing body stone
Buzz Length: Well medicated and relaxed for over 2 hours
Best Medicinal Use: Complete mind and body relaxation
Overall: While not a previous fan of Cheese strains, this is the second one from River Valley Collective that has me second-guessing why I’ve avoided them in the past. This batch of Blue Cheese looks great and has a fantastic sweet flavor to pair up with the staged buzz. While predominantly indica, there were some cerebral traits to the initial buzz too. I also found this strain to have no “ceiling” – rather causing a “Jell-o like” feel to my muscles that got so intense, I drifted off to sleep for a short nap early one evening. However, when metered, I was able to enjoy a full evening of medicating with Blue Cheese – just can’t over due it. Also, on 2 separate evenings, this strain induced a “hyper-sensitivity” to touch – to the point of being uncomfortable...can’t remember the last time that happened from smoking.
