Strain Name: “Skunky” Skunk

From: Trinity Gardens Collective

When: May 2010

Grade: A-

Type: Hybrid of several skunk phenos

Price: $150/half oz.

Looks: Light green with orange hairs - with a nice crystal coating

Smell: Fresh greens with a slight citrus smell

Taste: Not too strong in flavor, the smoke was fairly expansive and caught me off-guard...had me hacking/coughing.

Buzz Type: The buzz hit really hard due to the “over-toke” on my first bong hit. A few more tokes, and I was enjoying a nice cerebral buzz, that was just short of being trippy/spacey. The buzz was staged, in that the body high crept up after about 30 minutes of a mostly cerebral buzz.

Buzz Length: Medium-Long – the buzz lasted for around 1.5-2 hours.

Best Medicinal Use: Overall mind and body relaxation.

Overall: Similar to other skunk strains I’ve had, smoked most of the day, with little crash. A good mix of head and body buzz, with a nondescript taste/smell. Reminds me of the “old days” when there weren’t so many boutique strains around, and good bud was either green or reddish/gold.

Did you ever smell a skunk? Any of you? Well, it certainly doesn’t smell anything like today’s Skunk pot. Why call something something, when it ain’t even close to being like the something it’s supposed to be? Hey, let’s make some bud that smells like turpentine and we’ll call it, hmm, rose bud, or rose bud kush? WTF? is my only question.
