Dark Room 6x6 Grow Chamber questions

6x6, surely you mean 8x8 or 4x8 because two 400w is not suitible for that size tent.

Anyway i've used the 8x8 and IMO, Secret Jardin tents are the best on the market.

when i used to grow in that tent i used six 600w lights equaling 56.25 wpsf, so if using the 4x8 tent you'll need three 600w lights to get the full benefits of that space!

nope, 6x6. Dark Room DR240 from Growco Indoor Garden Supply

Would two 400w really be too much? says it can handle FOUR.

But, i'm new to these tents, so what do you think?

that tent is 8 x 8 as in DR240 Meaning 240cm equals 8ft by 8ft or 8ft by 4ft

its says on the site in your link, It's big enough to accommodate two 3' x 6' hydroponics systems or four 3' x 3

but the actual size is 8x8 Secret Jardin does not do a 6x6 you must mean the 5x5

I use the DR 150. It is 4'11" x 4'11" and accomodates one 1000w light perfectly. I love Secret Jardin tents and I hope you have as much success as I've had. I think you may need more light for the DR 240, 2 400's don't seem like enough.

Loosey, the Secret Jardin tents are great. I believe they are now made by Grolab. I can't find Secret Jardin tents out here anymore in stores. i was told that they were bought out. The early secret jardin tents had light leak issues around the zippers. Never affected my harvest. The sizes I saw were 4'x4' and 4'x8'.

Hey thatboydean, awesome grow:yikes: Ive just bought myself a dr240 and will also be using 6x600w, any chance you can let me know what size fan/filter you used in your setup and final yeild?
 
Hey Dean,,,,

Raised room temp minimum to 72 and no PM since. I am look more and more for PM resistant strains and not deal with this. Our AK47 is resistant.

I used two 8 inch outtake fans connected to one 8 inch filter via a Y piece i also had another 8 inch and a 6 for intake... A little OTT and as a result of that, there was so much air coming in the tent blew up like a balloon lol I was not worried about smells and it made good with the extra space it provided

I think you'll get away with just two 8's for outtake with the flaps open for negative pressure

I yielded 3200g dry! with 24 plants...

Cheers for the info Tbd, i've been searching around forever trying to find someone with a similar setup.

3200g off 24 plants!! Thats a really impressive yield :thumb:
What strain, nutes, grow media and pot size did you use and how long did you veg for (if you dont mind me asking)

Ive got 5 x ice seeds, 6 x bubblegummers, 10 x skunk#1 and 10 x double dutch (all feminised) that i'll be growing in the dr240, using coco and perlite with drippers, maybe with the H&G nute range.

I was going to do 70 seeds in total but seeing the yield you've managed with 24 i'm thinking that maybe i'll just stick with the seeds i've got rather than splashing out more of my hard earned cash
