So i have a bunch of plants packed into a very small space, their 3 weeks into flowering and i noticed a strange smell in the closet. There are little circles of mold on some of my plants leaves! I've seen these before but i though they were little spots of dried nutrients. Now on closer inspection im pretty sure its mold. I don't see any signs of mold on the buds yets. RH is about 55%. What do i do, more ventilation, do i have to get rid of one of my plants to clear up some room, they are very cramped...

should i wash or wipe the mold of the leaves? i don't want to add more moisture if i can help it.

Just completed my first test on the soil to guage where I'm at. I have a couple plants almost 2 feet tall and seedlings around 8" tall. Everything is in the soil, but the stems are turning purple during veg and I've been battling heat/nute burn.

It looks like there is way too much nitrogen in the soil.

There is not enough phos in the soil which would def explain the purple and red stems, wouldn't it?

There is too much K in the soil which would give explain why it was locked up and giving signs of a deficiency.

The PH of the soil runoff was 6

How do I correct the P deficiency without giving it anymore N or K?????

Thanks

I'm still letting it settle and plan to do a second test to confirm these results...

On another note I just put the dehumidifier in the room and have it at 50% RH for veg? Should I bump it up to 60%? It actually kicks on at 50% and drops it to 40% so it probably averages 45%....

Below is an image of one of my gals leaves.
This is from a SuperCanalope and is about 3 weeks into 12/12.
I started downward from 18hrs/day of light to 12/12 over a 15 day period.
They all reached 12/12 on 10/26/09 so that's about 3 weeks ago.
I have 2 SuperCanalope females, the one the leaves in this picture come from has been struggling, in fact It was not until about a week ago that I was sure she was even female.
The other SuperCanalope female as well as the others varieties in my harem are all doing fantastic, and in fact are in full flower now.
This one is just now starting to reach heavy pistil development/pre flower.

All of my plants are indoor soil cultivation.
Soil was hand mixed using a combination of FFOF, Black Gold, small amounts of blood meal, bone meal, hydrated lime, kelp meal.

Soil PH when these plants were all placed into this soil mix was 6.8 and continues to hover between 6.2 and 6.8 depending on nutes.
I have always ph'd the nute mix prior to watering my plants, and the ph of my nute solution is between 6.0 and 6.5

Runoff ph is always right between 5.9 and 6.4 ph, again depending on nute s used.

I have NEVER used full strength nutes yet, and my primary nute additive to date has been Flora Nova Bloom (1 part) liquid.

Now on to the problem at hand, but before that, let me clarify.
This plant is the ONLY plant in the harem that has a single problem, the rest look healthier than I have ever seen any plants look, they look fantastic, are huge and all sport large healthy fan leaves.

The plant in question has had this problem going on about 2 weeks now.
It started with one of the lower leaves turning yellow and then getting dark green spots which are surrounded by dark brown or bronze circles.

I initially thought nitrogen deficiency so I added a little (1/4 strength) FF Grow Big to a gallon of water, then ph corrected the mix and fed the plant.
Nothing changed over the next few days so I stuck with a water only regimen for the next 3 waterings.

More and more of the lower smaller leaves started to show signs of this malady, so I referred to the pictorial here on 420 and zeroed in on a possible manganese deficiency and added small amount (1/4 strength) of Big Bloom and Open Sesame which have manganese.

Anyway, fast forward to today, I have foliar fed with Cal Mag plus, my regular nute and seaweed extract to no avail, the leaves continue to yellow, then develop dark green spots, then die at the tips and eventually fall off.

Whats happening here? does anyone want to take a shot at this one?

I was wondering if this was normal for a swag plant. I have it proped up with chop sticks and twist tie. I am using a 40 watt CFL light and a small fan. I started going it outside in the cup germinated then moved it inside after 2 weeks. The first week under the light the plant bloomed leaves. However, now the leaves are too heavy for the stem.

These are the best pics I can get without cutting off a whole set of leaves. I first thought that maybe the light was too close because it seems to be happening to the taller plants and is happening to the leaves that are at the top but I spoke with someone who has his UFO about 2 inches away from his biggest plant and its not showing any signs of stress at all. Our plants are about the same age.

Can anyone tell me what they think it could be?

So I'm a few weeks into my first indoor grow and it's been a battle.

Lighting: Two 400w mh with hortilux blue eye bulbs
Area: 4'x4'x6.5 grow tent out in the garden shed

Soil: mix of perlite, miracle grow moisture control, organic soil, and black gold. I should have doubled the amount of perlite I put in, not the greatest drainage.

I haven't fertilized yet because the soil has so much in it I was getting nute burn from the start. All of my plants are using the same soil, some are more hurt than others. I have some seedlings in the soil that are doing just fine, while transplanted clones started to show signs of trouble.

Issues so far: Was battling condensation since this is out in an unheated shed. I put more fans and a heater in. I may use the dehumidifier if I can make the shed more airtight.

For co2 I have 4 gallons of sugar water fermenting with a senselife co2 monitor to estimate production. So far I've been able to re-use the yeast for more than 20 days, and it's taken less than a lb of sugar per day to maintain 1200-1600 ppm on the monitor. When I woke up this morning and opened the tent it was at 1350 ppm.

I keep temperature between 85-90 F and humidity ranges around 60%

This plant is called Sweet Willy, a hybrid I bought from the dispensary.

She's pretty far from the light, and looks like pictures I've seen of over fertilization?

But now leaves on just about each plant are looking like this one:

Notice in the blown up part how it's got white streaks? I turned the leaf over and it looks just the same, no bug or anything but just white streaks. All the other plants have a leaf or two with the edges are the same white and are almost like ash, paper thin and just crumble to the touch. I assume that's heat burn?

I was battling I think magnesium def? I sprayed them with epsom salts twice and it helped a bit. I also really diluted like 1/6 dose of some fertilizer with zinc/boron, calcium and micro nutrients.

What else should I do?
I've transplanted a few into pots where I drilled tons of holes and layered the bottom with styrofoam peanuts to promote circulation. The bottoms of the pots seems wet long after watering.

Any other things you notice?

Thanks in advance, I hope to make a journal as I get more progress.

hi guys, newb here, and need your opinions...

i got skunk #1 feminised from sensi seeds, don't have experience with this plant, noticed there are 2 distinctive phenotypes among them, one more sativa like and other indica like, they are 2 weeks old in vegetative stage, grown from seed, curently (no need from full power yet cuz there small and fit here) at area of 2 m2 under 1 MH and 2 HPS (alltogether 3 x 400 w not air cooled)...ventilation is good 8" in and out fans with varible voltage control...

now the first problems happened like 4 days ago when outside temperatures got too high for this time of year and i wasnt home and overnight they were at like 95 F, got some lesser to medium heat stress - leaves curling up...i raised already high lights (1.5 feet) to like 2 feet distance and since then holding temps around 75 almost never above, they got better in a day or two, then again i wanted to lower the lights just slightly to like 16" and in a few hours they started to curl up pretty bad, but it shure wasnt too hot for my hand, cant figure it out, i used to put lights much closer on other grows...also had some slight problems with droppines of lower leaves on few plants, like overwatering but not shure its that, i water every second day 200-250ml water, just weight the pot to check when needed...

now the real problems - claws! started like 2 days ago, i don't believe its too much nitrogen cuz they were never fertilized till today with just 1/4 of recommended, and just few plants to try it out, and not rootbound cuz they were trasplanted like 5 days ago into these 10L /2.6gal(?) pots...and later today i see few grey-brownish spots with slight discoloration on one plants tip of the leave and few really small yellow spikes on same leaf but along the side...this plant was not fertilized but even if it was it would be too early to show signs...

forgot to mention, RH is little lower 25-40%, usually around 30%...

here are some pics for you to see whats up...

some babies from the group:
One of the plants doesn't look that great, kinda shriveled up a bit, but still growing.
The other 4 seedlings the bottom leaves are starting to turn yellow, i noticed this started yesterday.
The top leaves all look really heathy.
I don't want to loose these little baby's.
I'm using soil "canacoco"
I only water with distilled water, and we are talking 2 teaspoons every other day, with a misting on the leaves, the soil looks and feels dry, and my light is a 24w florescent about an inch away from the plants.

These pics were taken 2 days ago i will take some more now.
And post.

Please help
