Right now my set up is linear, meaning I have 9 bushy plants(60+ days in) in 7 gallon smart pots under 3 1000w HPS(3 per light) sun system hoods(air push cooled), wondering if it would be a better idea to arraign these girls in a triangle rather than in-line?

Better light coverage or not?

That had to have been nute burn, and a good flushing 5 days ago but a stop to that.. getting ready to 1/4 nut feed then today...around 30ppm

Will slowly raise the levels up over the next few feedings.

Question comes up, can I cut off all the damaged leaves? Can I cut off healthy leaves to open up more flowering area?

Grow is 60 days into veg, switched to 12/12 6 days ago.

I have LST'd just about every plant to keep low during veg cycle, now they are incredily bushy girls...

Using smart pots for the grow, the only way I could figure out how to LST was to use to cut the bottom of coat hangers, bend into a U shape or for longer branches a hook near the top of the wire.. anyone else use this tech.?

I have cropped out 3 plants, 2 white widows and a skunk #1. Coming off the plant they were a little loose and i have ran into this before but after they are dried and cured it usually was resolved. Not the case this crop so far, I have had both of these strains finished before and it looked nothing like mine. Just curious if anyone knows why buds would do that, something that happened while growing that made it finish this way???? Any assistance is greatly appreciated :slide:;):bong:

i harvested the top half of a 4foot plant (NL), because the lower half did not recieve enough sun due to the thick canopy that i let grow. i didnt prune any leaves. the top of the plant was full of bud but the lower stems/ budding areas didnt bud and looked like they just were'nt ready yet. i then cut the top portion down approx. 2 feet to allow the bottom half to get light i put back in veg.18/6 for 12 weeks and i just put it on 12/12 yesterday. it sprouted new branches and is covered in white chrystals fom top to bottom.
it was kind of an unplanned thing
this time i pruned the leaves making sure all budding areas recieve plenty of light. im using a 400 watt hps with 6 cfls(2700k) for the side growth,Tiger-Bloom 2-8-4, FloraNectar 0-0-1 by general hydoponics, cal-mag and spray n grow micro nutient and superthrive. the ph ranges between 6.3 and 6.5. soil mix of ocean forest, perlite and vermeculite
im just wondering if there's anything else i can do to improve my grow? and how many weeks should i expect keep in bud stage? thank you.

also thanks to everyone at 420 for teaching me. i love you sweetleaf.
:thankyou::peace:

Hi,

I have a grow going and journaled:

First Grow 12/12 No Mercy Style Skunkberry 400W CMH

Brief rundown:

12/12 in a single soil tub filled with 32Liters of Sea Soil, 5L of Perlite and 5L Vermiculite. Skunkberry from PeakSeeds. Fed Iguana grow and bloom plus a little silica, seaweed and a weekly dose of Cal Mag. Right now I'm watering daily about 4 cups and feeding every 3rd watering about 35% recommended strength on the Iguana Juice, 25% on the Cal Mag and Silica and 50% on the Seaweed.

I'm about 30 days out from scissor and things were going well. However over the last 7-10 days I started to get the leaves starting to lighten from dark green to a light green, then the lower fan leaves started to yellow and develop brown or rust colored spots. I expected some of this, but not this much and not until I started to flush. I'm feeding with AN Iguana Juice which is a fert with N but it looks like a N deficiency.

I started to worry about PH lockout so I did 2 tests giving PH 6 water and getting PH 6.3 run-off. I'm not sure how to interpret those results though. I thought with my soil and fish based ferts I was looking a high ph but now I'm not so sure. What I am sure of though is that growth has slowed to zilch and they're looking worse and worse each day.

I figure I'm worrying over nothing and this is normal. OR.. I'm facing nute lockout due to PH issues.. OR.. I'm underfeeding?

I seek advice from the community..

Thanks!

Indicana.

I think I have answered my own question, having folar sprayed with what must have been to strong a solution.. (see pic) had many, many sun leaves brown up and get really brittle... First ever grow, and I am learning!

Took the girls outa the room and one by one placed them into the utility tub for a flush with 6.3Ph clean water(multi stage filter), that was Sunday evening.. Now(Tuesday morning) they are all looking sorta weak.. is this normal after a flushing?

I have also taken a bunch of the dead/dieing leaves off, both with snips and by pinching to see what works best, so far no real differnce! As you will see they are loaded with leaves and potiental bud sites..

Girls are now 65 days from cloning, they have been LST,FIM'd and some cropped back.. heance some are very tall while others have spread out very nicely.. as they grown up and out I have been using 12 inch peices of old coat hangers bent into U's to pull down larger branches.. slowly bringing them lower and lower, as not to break or stress too much...seems to be working very well indeed!

I have been watering/feeding every 2 days, but they are pretty heavy now, so will wait till they feel lighter to feed again?

After flushing, should go easy on the nutes, say back to 300ppm? and move back up as needed?

OK, Should offer this info also: fox farms ocean forest 50/50 mix with perlite(redi-gro), 7 gallon smart pots, flora bloom nutes.. plus a compost tea mixture...

Please don't ask what strain these girls are, thats sore subject, as my buddy that supplied the clones either can't or won't tell me until they start showing flowers.. best guess is some sorta diesel strain..?

Any hoo, if someone could offer advise/wisdom from experience that would peachy! Thanks...

I just got done making my buckets into a self contained watering system basically a drip system in need of a few tweeks. All the plants are a month old. The bucket with the 2 plants together are starting to turn yellow and arnt quite as perky as they were about a week ago. I just started within the last 2 days a nutrient mix but im fairly sure its the wrong time and the wrong mix so I need to know what to use at this point in time and how often I should be using it. Also im needing to set a better light schedule bc there pretty much is not one atm besides a reg day night outside. Temp and humidity has been all perfect. I have no idea whats going on with the runt. I found that guy under an organic potter and started caring for em.
