I currently was in a motorcycle accident that has left me with damage to my back that I will suffer with probably for the rest of my life. I am a newer registered med recipient and would love to learn to grow quality medicine for myself.
Currently I have a 160 cu.ft. closet with a 400w conversion ballast using a hortilux MH for the veg. I cut an 8x12 grill into the floor for a passive supply.
I am using an 18" fan at the top of the doorway for ventilation. I plan on installing an 8" inline through a carbon filter probably for the next grow. I used my own mix of soil. peat, pearlite, worm castings, I use FFGB with superthrive, kelp extract, and a shot of H020 (peroxide). This grow consists of 1 Buddah's Sister 28" 1 AK47 26" 2 Ultimate Skunk about 12"
This is a first grow for me so I'm leartning everything as I go. I am unable to work so after 30 years in a trade. I retired and now a house husband and gardener with a lot of time to research and experiment.

I am new, a concern Mom, and one who will try something new to help my disabled son cope with his disabilities. He is an adult now, but I won't throw him out in this world of confusion he doesn't have tools that most of us have to surrive. Being on Ritalin since he was 7 years old has made me very aware of the limited options my son has. I worked a short time for UC University and they did studies on marijuana use for his disabilities and found them successful. My question was "But it is illegal"! We tried so many drugs, and none has worked well. Marijuana seems to be working for him at the present time. He is eating alot though! He says I have been using it for a long time Mom you haven't known. He says I find it better than the drugs I am taking. He says I don't like going to people who sell it on the streets. I agree, It's dangerous and who knows where it came from. Plus others things could stem from that contact that wouldn't be good. I've been lurking and digging for a while now, and figured I should go ahead and make it official.

I've had an on again\off again relationship with our beloved plant since I was 16 (33 now). I grew up in a hyper-religious family, and as such always had to be WAY on the down low about it, then married a hyper-religious woman, and still had to be WAY on the down low about it.

Fast forward to today and I'm living with the love of my life, an absolutely wonderful free-spirited woman who loves blazing with me. Being able to sit on my back deck watching sunsets with a wonderful woman while ripped is a gloriously free-feeling pleasure and luxury so profound that words simply cannot describe it.

Being a creature of (often wretched) excess, I find myself spending far too much on bud ($400\oz or so adds up quickly), and being a creative tinkerer I have long been fascinated with growing myself. To that end I've been cramming my brain with as much info as possible here. This place is an absolutely phenomenal resource.

My girlfriend just gave me the go-ahead to begin planning my grow-room in the basement. I have an approximately 10' x 45' x 9' ceilings storage area in the basement that's nestled quite nicely against the foundation in a few corners, and I think I'm going to slice off a neat litle 10' x 5' or 6' chunk for a secret room in the corner. Stealth is going to be key here, so it will be completely sealed from the rest of the house, with only a hidden door under some shelves for access.

I've taken pictures of the room, and will no doubt be bouncing countless ideas off of the great members here over the course of the near future.

Just ordered a Bloombox Royale with Cheese from BC Northern Lights. I know I could have built my own myself for cheaper etc... But, I did not have the time, did not want to get through the trial and errors of building a custom system and it would always have been an ugly "patante". Being an engineer, I like straight lines, order and things that are well put together, the BC Northern Lights products fit the bill. Dealt with Blair and service has been excellent so far.

Decided to get into farming has I have had some bad experience recently with the local market. I like my things to be organic with no added chemicals into it...

Since I grow my own vegetables in the summer, make my own honey (got two hives) I figured it made perfect sense for me to start growing my own. Besides I have some good friends that will appreciate sharing my crop.

Look-out for my grow thread for my first grow, I will appreciate all the help I can get!

My first grow will be using 12 feminized seeds of World of Seeds Legend Collection New York 47. Got a good deal on them so they will be my guinea pigs.

Managed to also get some other strains that I intend to germinate and clone in the next year:

- Jack Herer
- Northern Lights
- Big Bud
- White Widow
- Blueberry
- Hawaiian Snow
- Arjan's Strawberry Haze

I welcome all comments on the above specified strains, particularly if you have experience cloning them. I would like to try cloning on the easiest one to clone hehehe

Also smoking experience would be nice too.

Not even a matchbox car OTR. I wonder if my PCP will think MMJ will help? I went to RIDH and picked up all rules, regs, and the app, will see him in a few days I hope he makes the declaration for MMJ. Some people do not think this works at all, I hope they will never need it and are healthy.

Well I was run over completely broke everything from my right shoulder/chest to left hip/leg. It f**^%$g hurts all the time and this happened 10 yrs ago.
As my RX medication has not worked in months and causes you to throw up or starve, I tried MMJ reluctantly, within 20 minutes from trying I was experiencing measured pain reduction and the ability to eat, what a relief. I look forward to going forward in a legal, responsible manner, and will let you know what happens, please wish me luck.
