This seems kinda cool. Gonna try it out today.

Excerpt from the book 'The Art and Science of Cooking with Cannabis' by Adam Gottlieb

Website can be found here - Cooking With Cannabis

--

Instant Hash Bhang for 2

* 0.5 to 1 gram of hash
* 1.3 cm slice of butter
* milk (cold)

1. Add the butter to 0.5 L (17 oz) of boiling water.

2. Crumble in the hash and let slowly boil for a minute or more.

3. Fill two 250 ml (8 oz) parfait glasses (or any vessels that won't crack from the heat) one third the way with milk.

4. Strain the hash concoction through a fine-mesh strainer. Save the residue.

5. Add honey or other sweetener.

6. Flavor with cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, almond extract or any item of this sort.

--

I'm a little confused as to what he meant by 'save the residue'.

If one was to strain the butter/hash/water mix through a fine mesh screen, theoretically you'd lose the butter as it's a liquid, probably the hash too as it'd be a liquid too due to the heat and dilution.

Perhaps he meant you should save the liquid which drains out but throw away whatever's left in the strainer, which I imagine wouldn't be much anyway.

Then with the leftover liquid, you divide it, add it to the glasses of milk, drink and enjoy.

I made this beautiful butter a few days ago for the first time. I followed the simple directions on this site and used some g13 haze baby buds and trimming. I probably used a little more then 1/4oz to one stick of butter.

the butter came out just as expected, but with a strong weedy smell, almost skunky. for my first baking adventure I used about 1/4 of the cannabutter to make a 1/2 batch of brownies. I got a little body high off the three brownies I ate that night and was happy but it wasn't what I was expecting. I suspected that I didn't use enough weed or got the receipe wrong, but boy was I mistaken.

Fast forward to the next day, I decided the brownie high wasn't good enough and I wanted to see if increasing the amount of cannabutter ate would make my high better. What I did then was to take about 1/8 of the remaining cannibutter (about a teaspoon) and mix it with a bowl of pasta for dinner.

In about 45 minutes I started to feel the effects and within a couple hours I was full force. it was a nice calm mellow wavey high, very managable. It actually put me to sleep it was so mellow. usually my mind is racing and I can't sleep when I'm stoned unless I'm really exhausted.

so I ate the pasta around 7pm and fell a sleep about 10pm cause I have work the next day. during the middle of the night i got up to get a drink and remember feeling like I was still high, but I just wrote it off as being tired. when my alarm finally went off @ 7am I STILL had that feeling. I convinced myself I was not fully awake and I just needed a shower to start the day. So I'm in the shower for like ten minutes trying to wake up and I realize this isn't going away, that I'm not tired, but actually still stoned, really really stoned. I was higher then when I went to bed :439:

this was a total first for me, like I said, I've gone to bed high before, thats nothing new. I've even smoked myself straight before, but I've never in all my years gone to bed high and woken up 10 hours later STILL HIGH! I was so damn high I had to call outta work. I had no clue the butter would mess me up that bad/long. I didn't start coming down till around 10am. thats over a 12hour high, wtf am I going to do with this stuff, I don't have the time to block off a 12hr window to get high :smokin2: lol

has anyone else experienced the same thing?

ps, sorry if there are spelling & grammer errors, I've been eating more of those brownies. :rasta:

.5 grams of bud (user preferred my first I used shake)
6 Ritz crackers (ok to substitute)
1 Tsp. liquified coconut oil (can sub for olive oil or equivelant)
Nutella
Organic peanut butter (also can use natural pb)

1. Turn oven on & set at 320F or 160C
2. Break or grind up your .5g of bud as small as you can. (I used bag shake since this was my first attempt)
3. Place 1 tsp. of hardened coconut oil in a small container such as a shot glass & microwave slowly until liquefied.
4. Lay out your crackers on a suitable area.
5. Spread a thin even layer of Nutella across all of the crackers.
6. Spread a thin even layer of organic peanut butter across all crackers.
7. Sprinkle & distribute you bud evenly to only 3 of the crackers
8. Place a thin layer of liquefied coconut oil over top of your bud. (dip finger in container & drip or use teaspoon and slowly spread)
9. Place on suitable plate and microwave 10-15 seconds.
10. Place crackers on foil & seal them in the foil so that they are air tight. (I sealed them together) & Bake at 320F (160C) for 24-25 minutes. Let stand 2-3 minutes & enjoy. (Cooking times may vary or to your liking)

I ate one at 11:45 with a glass of milk & ate the others 40 minutes apart. I started slowly feeling it around 12:30 & ate a little bit of food and it settled in quite nicely. Not intense but a great calm relaxing high with random uncontrollable smiles. My shake was from mid grade at best. I am happy with end results for what I used. I'm sure someone may have made them this way but I thought I would share my first firecracker experience. I didn't really notice a smell when cooking & every time I tried I could only smell PB. There was a slight herbal flavor but with the nutella & pb it kinda had a slightly browned marshmallow taste. I am new to cooking and have had some problems smoking so I am trying new things thanks to all the info on here. If you try them let me know what ya think and how well ya made out. It's a little after 6pm and I can feel it starting to fade. :slide:

:welcome: Everyone

What we have here is a little pictorial of some awesome shenanigans.

We start our Journey with
1/2 oz of some good bud
1/4 # of butter
1 cup of milk
3 tablespoons of oil
1 egg
1 box brownie mix

optional to have stems from other buds or just left overs

We prepare the Bud by grinding it nicely and putting it through a sift.
This separates the plant from the abstract we are after.

The abstract is then used to make Canibutter.
1/4# of butter
with the amout of bud we used - everyone is free to use what they feel like using-

The left over refuse as well as stems from previous buds are tossed into
1 cup of milk with
3 teaspoons of oil
This is going to be put to slowly heat
when the milk starts to bubble
lower heat to simmer and let sit for a few minutes stir to prevent sticking
turn of and while warm use sift to seperate ruffage from milk.

The milk with oil is just used to abstract whatever may have been missed though grinding and sifting and the milk takes on a nice greenish tint and depending on your bud will give of a nice aroma and flavor. Adjust the amout of milk used to correspond to how much water/milk is required for whatever baking goods you buy.

Take all this along with
1 egg
and add to a medium bowl
add your bronie mix
mix well and bake

The result if you did a :goodjob:

a close up of that moist sticky center
The brownie mix that I'm using only calls for1/2 cup of oil (Im using butter though.) All I need is a ratio for only 1/2 a cup. I've searched elsewhere and have only found ratios for huge batches. I'll just be needing these for the weekend. I appreciate any help guys.
