My first time growing and I found myself adjusting my PH twice a day. I used up a whole bottle of liquid PH up in 2 months. About 2 days before I ran out my GH Dry PH Up/Down came in. Thank God I really needed it. Now on to the really great part. It seems to last longer then the liquid. Much longer. Before when the lights went on I would check the PH and it would always be below 5. I would adjust it up to about 7 (for a buffer) and 12 hours later right before lights out I would check it again and it would be at about 5. Again I would adjust it up to 7. This happened every day. I was using 3 tsp of PH up a day. Now with this new dry stuff I only have to adjust it up to 6.5 before lights out and it goes all the way until lights out the next day and I only have to use 1/4th tsp a day total. Its about 9 dollars for 1.5 lbs and worth every penny.

I will always believe in the good of mankind, no matter how many disapointments come before them.

As I am new to MMJ I have experience farming and look forward to posting some pics. I look forward to the meetings at RIPAC but as I can not drive anymore I will need advance notice. I am willing to answer any question about farming, medium, HID, CFL, NFT, Ebb & Flow, Rockwool vs Rocks vs Soil, anything.

It has been a long, long, time and I am OS so I will do the best I can. Maybe you can assist me with the latest gadget or technology.
I am wondering years ago I used Green Air Products it was a 4 part system, now it seems people are touting H.N. from Cali. and advocating their 3 part system.
Anybody have any preferences about which Nutrient solution is best and what is not?

I will keep all informed of my progress.

If I can answer any questions please ask.

Mgs supply

Something needs to be said for MGS SUPPLY .

They rock. In the best possible of all ways.

So here is the situation.

I ordered a fan from them and it was the fastest shipping ever. (From eBay at least)

After that purchase I decided to order my light system from them as well.

Something needs to be said for MGS SUPPLY .

They rock. In the best possible of all ways.

So here is the situation.

I ordered a fan from them and it was the fastest shipping ever. (From eBay at least)

After that purchase I decided to order my light system from them as well.

Again fast shipping, got here and I was excited.

The system is a 600 w HPS/MH w a digital ballast.

600 watt MH HPS Lumatek Grow Light Air Cooled 2 lamps

I opened the slightly damaged box to find that my reflector is slightly damaged and i have NO BULBS.

Supposed to be 1 600 w HPS and 1 600 w MH.

After searching for a contact number for them for hours i gave up and emailed them through ebay.

OH MY GOD.
I get back to my computer an hour later and MGS and ebay have sent me about 5 emails . they responded ( very professionally) and told me ex what i need to do to file a claim w ups about the damaged reflector , and already they put in to have my lamps shipped out.

I wont be filing a claim w ups because the damage to the reflector was mostly cosmetic but big kudos to MGS. Today its just too many rip offs and poor customer service.

I cannot express how pissed i was when i saw no lamps in the box and also how very satisfied I am w the way that MGS handled their mistake.

Even in a totally bad situation they were just awesome.

For anyone who is looking to purchase a high quality product and STILL HAVE AWESOME BACK UP IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG. MGS it totally the place to buy.

I would recommend to ANYONE. And if I need anything that can be bought from them , i will.

:thankyou: MGS SUPPPLY

The truth about the CO2 Boost Bucket

When I bought my cab the guy threw in a brand new CO2 Boost Bucket and he claimed that it would increase yields up to 30% I had heard some people swear they work for smaller areas so I was happy to be getting it for free.

When I bought my cab the guy threw in a brand new CO2 Boost Bucket and he claimed that it would increase yields up to 30% I had heard some people swear they work for smaller areas so I was happy to be getting it for free. It has been running for about 45 days when the lights are on.

While designing my new bloom room I bought the Sentinel CHHC-1 to monitor and regulate everything including CO2. I decided to do a little test and see how the Boost Bucket performs in the current grow cab.

When putting the CHHC-1 sensor below the CO2 hose the CO2 measured off the scale which is well over 1500PPM. This gave me high hopes for the CO2 Boost bucket.

The Grow Cab Dimensions: 42" tall x 36" wide x 18" deep I hung the sensor at plant level and shut the doors. The fans were turned off and I gave the cab 30 minutes to build CO2 levels up. When I came back to take a reading the CO2 measured a dismal 650PPM. I removed the sensor and took a test outside the cab and it read 553PPM.

I think one would be as well off using fans to move the air in and out constantly instead of trying to use a boost bucket to boost the amount of CO2 in the air.

I am just waiting for my regulator and new LEDs to setup a small 1 HGL light bloom area to finish my current grow before I move and setup the real thing. Needless to say I wont be using a CO2 Boost bucket ever again.

I do plan on filling the bucket with yeast and sugar water for my little veg area. I think the included pump will really help the output of the yeast method.

Bottom line I give the CO2 Boost Bucket a 2 out of 10. Cool concept but not worth the plastic its made from.

My current grow is starting to small a little. I have a carbon filter and it removes most of the oder but when you get close to it you can smell it. Also sometimes you can get a wiff of it just being in the same room. I am leaning towards a Ozone generator outside the cab near the exhaust. Comparing the two you would think that the uvonair would be the better unit. It says that it will control oder in a bigger area. However upon reading it appears that the ozn-jr outputs more O3 per hour and is cheaper has a built in timer and negitive ion generator.

If anyone has any experience with one or both of these products please let me know what you thought about it. My room is 10X10 but the area the oder is in is just a corner.

I just found one on Fleabay that sounds like a really good buy. It is a CD type ozone generator and can produce up to 600mg per hour. Has anyone seen one like this before?
